Find Out How We Can HelpAbout LD:NorthEast
We are a local charity supporting people across North Tyneside who have lived experience of learning disabilities, learning difficulties and autism. Our work is all about bringing people together — tackling social isolation and the effects of loneliness so everyone can live their life their way.
How We Support People
Community Outreach
One-to-one support, group activities and short breaks that promote independence, social connection and active lifestyles within the community.
Health & Wellbeing
Supporting children, adults and families to stay healthy, feel connected and build confidence through therapeutic activities, sports and tailored health support.
Social Activities
A wide range of activities and events — many free to access — bringing people together through games, sport, dance, music and days out.
Early Years Support
Supporting families from birth with early years programmes designed to build confidence, encourage development and reduce isolation.
Fun, Friends & Feel Good
Fun
We organise a wide range of activities and events, many free to access — games, sport, dance, music, days and nights out — all based on what people tell us they want to do.
Friends
We help people develop and maintain friendship groups through activities, social groups and informal drop-in support. One-to-one support helps people access their community.
Feel Good
We support people with health appointments and activities for positive physical and mental well-being — dance classes, music, singing, art and craft, healthy cooking and sport.
